Hamilton rode a good effort from starter Kyle Boddy to beat the Syracuse Starks at Coyote Wildlife Refuge. The final score was 6-2. Hamilton is now 12-16, Syracuse 13-15.
Scot Willis had a big bases-clearing double for the Coyotes in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Hamilton trailing 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Octávio Ríos and stroked the double to left. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Coyotes ahead, 4-2.
"I just trusted my stuff," said Boddy.
