Redlegs Knock Off Drummers at Sacramento Sanitation Station
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Sacramento Redlegs and the Tortolita Drummers, José Alfaro was the difference-maker. The Sacramento right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-0 win. With the win, Sacramento has a record of 6-19. Tortolita falls to 15-10.
The Redlegs grabbed the lead in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out, Joe Clark hit a 2-run home run off Karl Dandleton, putting Sacramento in front, 3-0. For Clark, it was his 1st home run of the season.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Alfaro told a Sacramento Bulletin reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
