Tortolita got a terrific game from designated hitter Vojtech Farkas. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Salt Lake City, 9-8. Farkas was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 2-2 with a triple and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The Buzz move to 11-13 with the win, while the Drummers drop to 15-9.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Salt Lake City trailing 8-7, Fytor Ceia hit a changeup from Dave Seals to center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Buzz had a walk-off win.

"We came out aggressive," said Buzz manager Manny Cuellar. "We came out swinging the bats."
