Starks Turn Back Houston, 4-3
|
Syracuse beat Houston at Stark Stadium, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Martín Aguilar, who earned player of the game honors. The BC fall to 9-11 and continue their uneasy start to the 2037 season.
Robinson Barquero was 1-2 with a double and a walk for Syracuse. The 30-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Júlio Rodríguez. It was his 6th RBI of the season.
"I really like what we did out there today," Barquero said after the game.
