Buzz Stun Flyers, 7-4
|
The Salt Lake City Buzz topped the Pennsauken Flyers, 7-4, at Pennsauken Park. Salt Lake City right fielder Jackson Curry earned player of the game honors. He banged out 1 single and 1 double, while driving in 2 runs. Salt Lake City reliever Matko Perisc picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Yue-rong Chen shouldered the loss. The Flyers fall to 8-12 and continue their lackluster start to the 2037 season.
Salt Lake City took a 7-4 lead on Curry's 17th hit of the season. The 2-run single, which he hit off António Rodríguez in the top of the eighth, propelled Salt Lake City to the win.
"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Curry.
