Syracuse left-hander Ollie McDaniell pitched his team to victory over the Indianapolis Racers at Speedway Field. The final score was 9-4. McDaniell got the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 6.2 innings. McDaniell allowed 2 earned runs. Losses have been rare for the Racers, who are now 13-4.

Syracuse used the timely hitting of Soren Loen to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put the Starks on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Syracuse skipper Ralph Wood.
