The Houston BC eked out a 2-1 win versus the Tortolita Drummers at Houston Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Jesús Franco, who captured player of the game honors. Júlio Rodríguez got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. Houston is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 3rd in 8 games.

Fergus Stidston was the walk-off hero for Houston. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the BC pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said BC manager Juan Casas. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
