Arnold Lifts BC to 5-0 Triumph
|
Behind a solid performance from right fielder Robby Arnold, the Houston BC defeated the Tortolita Drummers, 5-0. Arnold went 4-4 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the BC. Picking up the save was Abdul-Nasir Rabah, his 1st. The BC have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 2nd win in 7 games.
The BC got a big at-bat from third baseman José Salinas. For the game, Salinas was 3-4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 5th hit of the season gave Houston a 1-0 lead.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Arnold told reporters after the game.
