The Athletic Club KC Reserves got a magnificent performance from pitcher Salvador Sagastizabal, who stifled the Houston offense en route to a 2-1 Reserves win at Houston Park. Sagastizabal, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 4 walks. Francisco González earned the save, his 2nd, for the Reserves.
Athletic Club KC used the timely hitting of Kwang-chih Feng to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Reserves ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was an important one.
Feng attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
The Reserves keep rolling, raising their record to 3-1.
