The D.C. Divided picked up a win at Oakland Coliseum, knocking off the Oakland Oaks, 2-1. Starting pitcher António Castillo was an essential part of his team's success. In 6.2 innings, Castillo surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. The 9th-place Divided lifted their record to 39-58.
D.C. used the timely hitting of Martín Chávez to capture the win. The right fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Divided ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was an important one.
