The San Mateo Dirty Reds grabbed a 8-3 win over the Phoenix Hotspur at Chase Field. San Mateo designated hitter Palaie Gaoteote was 2 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 to earn player of the game honors. San Mateo is now 50-46.

With San Mateo leading 3-1 in the top of the fifth, Gaoteote hit a curveball from Masahiro Sakei for a 3-run home run. It was his 17th home run of the season and put the Dirty Reds ahead, 6-1.
