The Buckhead Bowties got a superb performance from pitcher Ming-jiang Wu, but the Oakland Oaks still won the game, 5-4. Wu was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 6 innings allowing 3 runs. Oakland reliever Mal Houser was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Wong Fei-Hung took the loss for Buckhead. Oakland, at 56-37, sits in second place in the Silver League.

Oakland used the timely hitting of Yu-zeng Si to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Oaks on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Winning is contagious," said Si. "We're looking forward to the next game."
