Season Ends for Sadaharu Atsutame of Athletic Club KC Saturday, August 23rd, 2036 The doctors have spoken and Sadaharu Atsutame of the Athletic Club KC U-21 didn't like what he heard. The 19-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Atsutame sustained his season-ending injury during the Bompton Baby Lakers game yesterday at Field of the Browns. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Athletic Club KC medical staff reported Atsutame had a torn rotator cuff and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months. This season Atsutame has worked 22 innings with 25 strikeouts en route to a 0-0 record and a 3.27 ERA. |
