Barthorpe Batters Athletic Club KC Big Time Tuesday, August 19th, 2036 Dean Barthorpe of the Gibtown Elephants outhit everybody on the field today at Wrigley Field, but it was all for naught. Even as Barthorpe personally tore up the Athletic Club KC U-21 with a 5-for-6 day, the U-21 were sending his Elephants down to a 5-4 defeat. Dean Barthorpe hit a solo-shot off Roberto Días in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, doubled in the 9th and singled in the 11th. Looking at his stats this year, Barthorpe has compiled a .308 batting average, while hitting 5 home runs and driving in 41 runs. He has played in 68 games and scored 23 runs.
