Haynes Baffles Crowley Batters Sunday, June 22nd, 2036 In an impressive outing, Joe Haynes whitewashed the Crowley Cajuns 5-0. "I'm getting a lot more downward movement instead of side to side. That side-to-side stuff can get hit a long way," said Haynes, who is throwing with more of an overhand motion. "It's not rocket science. It was just a little adjustment, but that's all it took." The Ladue hurler held Crowley scoreless, allowed 5 hits, chalked up 6 strikeouts and yielded 3 walks. In 10 starts this season Haynes has compiled a 4-3 record and a 2.85 ERA.
