Octopi Chris Rice to Miss Year Sunday, May 18th, 2036 The doctors have spoken and Chris Rice of the Ogallala Octopi didn't like what he heard. The 18-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Rice sustained his season-ending injury during the Fort Knox Centennial game yesterday at Nebraska Aquarium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Ogallala medical staff reported Rice had a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 11-12 months. |
