Minnesota's Corbin Snaps Up Player of the Week Monday, June 30th, 2036 23-year-old Derek Corbin made a few Minnesota headlines during this past week as the rookie third baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and USPL Double A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 8 hits in 12 at-bats to put up a .667 average. Corbin collected 1 home run, 6 RBIs and scored 2 runs. In the 2036 season Corbin is hitting .243 with 2 home runs. |
