Karl Wade Named PAA's Best Player
Monday, October 8th, 2035
At the age of 25, Karl Wade of the Springfield Shooters could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2035 was good enough to win the first baseman the USPL Double A Outstanding Hitter Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .351 batting average this year, as well as a .436 on-base percentage. He played 102 games and racked up 142 hits, 23 doubles, 1 triple, 25 home runs, 79 RBIs and 74 runs scored.
Oliver Burrell of the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles finished second in voting, while Mario van Heijbeeck of the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats finished third.
