Tuesday, September 18th, 2035
After an intense confrontation, both the Fur Traders Keizo Morishita and the Shooters Ricardo Pérez were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Tacoma-Springfield game. Both players will miss 2 games as a result of their actions.
"Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Keizo Morishita commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play."
Morishita is hitting .213 this year with 1 home run and 5 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .250, 2 walks and scored 3 times.
To date this year Pérez has won 4 and lost 1 with a 5.06 ERA, 1 save and 59 strikeouts in 29 relief appearances.
