Rubén Vásquez Gets MVP Trophy Saturday, October 11th, 2036 Rubén Vásquez of the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Outstanding Hitter Award for 2036. The 27-year-old third baseman put up a .308 average and a .402 on-base percentage, piling up 103 hits, 21 doubles, 1 triple, 23 home runs, 59 RBIs and 56 runs scored. He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Jody Clark of the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats finished second in voting, while Igme Samson of the Minnesota Loons finished third.
