Shuckers Esteban Allucingoli Down and Out for Year Saturday, September 6th, 2036 Biloxi reliever Esteban Allucingoli could miss the remainder of the season because of radial nerve compression. He exited yesterday's Belvedere Park game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Allucingoli would be out 6-7 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that." For the year, Allucingoli has collected no saves in 19 relief appearances. He has also rung up 25 strikeouts and 23 walks in 27 innings while registering a 2.00 ERA and a 1-3 won-lost mark. |
