The Math Says - Yakima Out of Playoffs Thursday, September 4th, 2036 The dream of lifting a championship banner above the home field of the Yakima Hops has been extinguished, at least for 2036. The club was formally eliminated from playoff contention today. Asked to comment on how he felt about the news, Hops manager Byron Sanders issued a one-word statement, which cannot be printed by BNN. The Hops have missed the playoffs 17 times in their 21 years as a USSL Double A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 5th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2030. In the last 10 seasons, the Hops have missed the playoffs 7 times. Yakima last won the SL AA Championship in 2030. |
