Playoffs Won't Happen for Rapiers
Sunday, September 7th, 2036
It wasn't meant to be for the Durham Rapiers this year. Despite a tough battle, they were eliminated from playoff contention today.

"It is a bad feeling," said Rapiers first baseman John Wilder. "Once you get into the playoffs, anything can happen. But you've gotta get in there first, and we weren't able to do that."

Durham last appeared in the postseason in 2028. This is their 8th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 17 times in their 21-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Rapiers have missed the playoffs 9 times. Durham has won the 3L AA Championship 3 times in their history.
