Virginia Beach could only muster 5 hits and take 3 walks against the right-handed Ellington, who controlled them throughout the game as Phoenix Hotspur took the contest, 7-0. Ellington added 7 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Ellington told reporters after the shutout win.
