Guzmán's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games

Juan Guzmán has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 22-year-old Durham Rapiers right fielder extended his streak today to 20 games, going 4-for-5 as Durham got the best of the Billings Polar Bears at Rapiers Ballpark, 6-5.

"Juan has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Rapiers manager Francisco Fernández said.
Juan Guzmán doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

In 68 games this season Guzmán has compiled a .319 batting average with 90 hits and 4 home runs. He has also scored 35 times and knocked in 34 runs.
