SAAA Outstanding Skipper Award Given to López Friday, October 10th, 2036 Texas Bronze Sox field manager Juan López has brought a winning attitude to the team and the city. His no-nonsense approach, work ethic and baseball experience have paved the way for success. This season the Bronze Sox parlayed his managerial skills and some talented ballplayers into a first place spot in the Silver AAA standings. Texas finished the year with a 70-32 record. To everybody's delight López was voted the 2036 USSL Triple A Manager of the Year by the baseball writers. "Mr. López doesn't take any stuff. If you aren't doing your job, he's not afraid to call you on it," noted one of his ballplayers. "But the team wouldn't want to play for anyone else. He's tough, demanding, but he treats everyone fairly and doesn't play favorites. Nobody gets pampered on his ballclub." |
