Yoshida Honored, 2036 PAAA Outstanding Hitter Award
Saturday, October 11th, 2036
At the age of 26, Ryoichi Yoshida of the Bakersfield Nobles could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2036 was good enough to win the third baseman the USPL Triple A Outstanding Hitter Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .296 batting average this year, as well as a .373 on-base percentage. He played 92 games and racked up 109 hits, 15 doubles, 2 triples, 17 home runs, 54 RBIs and 55 runs scored.
He received 7 first place votes out of a possible 10. José Román of the Calgary Lynx finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Dean Jackson of the Plymouth Rocks finished third.
