Bakersfield Narrowly Wins Premier AAA Friday, September 19th, 2036 Elton Coalan called it "one of the best parts of being a pro ballplayer." The Bakersfield Nobles starting pitcher was referring to winning a division title, as his club has just captured the Premier AAA crown. "There's not many better feelings than winning a tight pennant race," he said. "We worked hard for it all year, have our record at 66-36 right now and feel we're in good shape for the postseason." It was the 11th time the Nobles have won the division. It may be a high for Coalan and his teammates, but there is certainly one better feeling he's now hoping for. "Winning the PL AAA Championship," he said. "Nothing would top that." |
