Golden Cranes Hank Scorpio Swings Hot Bat, PAAA Winner Monday, September 8th, 2036 In the twilight of his career, 35-year-old Hank Scorpio of Santa Barbara recaptured some of the old magic last week and came away with the USPL Triple A Player of the Week Award. "I've been playing since I was a kid," Scorpio told reporters, "but you're never too old to feel the thrill of success." Scorpio outpaced the rest of the league's hitters last week, reeling off 12 hits in 27 at-bats, no home runs, and 6 RBIs to stake his claim to the award. This year Scorpio has hit at a .292 clip with 110 hits, 6 home runs, 39 RBIs and 57 runs scored. |
