Tuesday, June 17th, 2036
After an intense confrontation, both the BC Mike Howard and the Flyers Ralph Haggerty were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Houston-Pennsauken game. Mike Howard will miss 3 games, while Ralph Haggerty was suspended for 6 games.
"Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Mike Howard commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play."
Presently Howard is hitting .238 with no home runs and 16 RBIs. He has played in 37 games and scored 17 times.
To this point in the season, Haggerty shows a 3-1 record, 7 starts, 38.2 innings, 15 strikeouts and a 2.33 ERA.
