Machen Wins Menard's Third League Pitching Crown Monday, November 3rd, 2036 Menard's Third League hitters didn't have much of a chance in the 2036 season when the San Mateo manager wrote "Michael Machen" on the lineup card. Outing after outing, he held teams in check and usually got a win. He excelled with a 16-7 mark and 3.12 ERA in 27 starts, tossed 170 innings, fanned 173 and held opposing teams to a .205 average. For his superb season Machen was today named the 3L Outstanding Pitcher Award winner. Ton Jobse of the Athletic Club KC finished second in voting, while Eddie Kop of the Hollywood Shredders finished third. |
