3L Selects Rookie Star of the Month Monday, September 1st, 2036 Craig Woods is still a bit shy, but then, who could blame the newest Menard's Third League Rookie of the Month honoree? He hasn't been around the league long enough to fully know the ropes yet, despite the fact that he's putting up veteran-like numbers. In August the Ft. Worth hitter tagged opposing pitching for a .308 average with 24 hits, 1 home run and 13 RBIs. So far this season Woods is hitting .321 with 6 home runs, 31 RBIs and 38 runs scored. He has 67 hits in 209 at-bats and a .443 OBP. |
