Bortenschlager Stretches Hit String to 20 Tuesday, August 19th, 2036 The number just keeps getting higher. Buffalo second baseman Max Bortenschlager has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it today with 2 hits in 3 at-bats as the Buffalo took the 5-2 win over the Ft. Worth Cattlemen at Beyond the Wall. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Ft. Worth manager Scott Thompson said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Max Bortenschlager walked in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, doubled in the 5th and grounded out in the 8th. For the year Bortenschlager has hit .317 with 8 home runs, 51 RBIs and scored 41 runs. |
