van Gorp Belts Bunch of Base Hits Monday, July 28th, 2036 5 times is the charm -- at least for Nicol van Gorp. The Provo Mango center fielder tore up the Delaware 1787 BC to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Mango Yard today. The offensive onslaught from van Gorp powered the Mango to a 11-1 win. "van Gorp was a tough out today," Delaware manager Dave Parrish said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Nicol van Gorp singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run double in the 7th.
