Chicago Loses Pedro Carvajal for Season Friday, August 29th, 2036 Pedro Carvajal of the Gold Sox just might have to call it quits for the season. The 24-year-old Chicago reliever received a possible season-ending injury against the Niagara Falls Expos recently at Waterfall Park. Carvajal suffered a damaged elbow ligament while throwing a pitch. The Gold Sox medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 12-13 months. Carvajal has taken the mound for 15 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 6-3 record with a 4.28 ERA. The Chicago reliever has limited opposing batters to a .276 batting average. |
