Marberry Choice for Best Newcomer Monday, November 3rd, 2036 Firpo Marberry's age didn't show very often in his first year. He performed more like a veteran on the hill for the Boston Patriots and today he walked away with the 2036 United States Premier League Newcomer of the Year Award. The 23-year-old starter registered a 7-3 record this season in 15 starts. Over 84.1 innings he gave up 71 hits, struck out 66 and issued 23 walks as he held the opposition to a .227 batting average and fashioned a 3.20 ERA. Vicente Romero of the New Orleans Voodoo finished second in voting, while Ted Chong of the New Orleans Voodoo finished third. |
