Win Streak Now at 6 for Voodoo
|
Fans who gathered at Evergreen Park saw a good contest between the New Orleans Voodoo and Portland Evergreens.
The New Orleans Voodoo got a stellar performance from pitcher Sicnarf Loopstok, who handcuffed the Portland offense en route to a 4-2 win at Evergreen Park. In 6 innings, Loopstok surrendered 9 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 0. He allowed 2 runs. Rémi Ribeiro nailed down his 1st save.
In the top of the fifth, New Orleans second baseman Ramón Garmendia had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 3rd and one out, Garmendia stroked a run-scoring single to right. It made the score 3-2, New Orleans. For the game, he went 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said New Orleans manager Chase Sims.
New Orleans has a record of 12-8.
