The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC topped the Greenville 84s by the score of 16-9, with the biggest share of the credit going to designated hitter Jorge Herrera. Herrera was 2-4 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Northern Lions BC on the day. Thunder Bay reliever René Fontaine got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Herrera contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Thunder Bay in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 5-4, Herrera took a changeup from Santiago Alonza and stroked the home run to right-center. His 18th home run of the season allowed the Northern Lions BC to leap in front, 6-5.

"It was one of those games where both teams were swinging the bat well," Herrera said.
