Kerin Helps Outlaws Run Win Streak to 6
|
Nashville left fielder Scott Kerin played a vital role in his team's 9-5 triumph over Thunder Bay. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for Nashville. The winner was Matthew Fallows, who threw 94 pitches over 6.2 innings. The right-hander was charged with no runs on 4 hits. The 9th-place Outlaws have won 6 straight games.
Nashville used the timely hitting of Javier Sierra to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Outlaws ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"We maximized our offense today," said Nashville skipper Ryan Naylor. "That makes everyone's life easier."
