Closing In: San Mateo Nears R2038 With Dramatic Game Win
|
San Mateo right fielder Scott Janousek was the key at Lang Park today, being named player of the game as he powered the Dirty Reds to victory in a critical Game of the Round 2037. The Dirty Reds took the 4-3 win over the Hollywood Shredders to seize a - lead in the best-of- series.
Dylan Carson chipped in for San Mateo with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"It's hard to overstate how much this mattered to us, especially in a short series," San Mateo manager Dean Ashley said.
