United States Premier League Championship Game 1 Victory for Mooney and Boston
The Boston Patriots moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the visiting Charleston Battery at Dunkin Donuts Park by a score of 6-2. Patriots right-hander Sam Mooney was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball. The win gives the Patriots a - advantage in the best-of- United States Premier League Championship.

Anselmo Berneu contributed to the Boston win with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Berneu said after the game.

Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday, October 18th, 2036 at Charleston Armory. The scheduled starters for the game are Darby Marshall for Boston and Aldo Raine for Charleston.
