Big Game from Altamiraņo Not Enough, Northern Lions BC Lose
|
Despite a great performance by Thunder Bay second baseman Domingo Altamiraņo, the Nashville Outlaws defeated the Northern Lions BC by the score of 8-6 at Great Northern Field. Altamiraņo went 3 for 5 with a home run and a triple, while adding 6 RBI and scoring once. The 9th-place Outlaws have won 5 in a row.
It could have been a different outcome for Nashville, had it not been for Orlando Reyes, the 31-year old second baseman . Reyes contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fourth inning to put Nashville up, 3-2.
"We'll savor this win," Reyes told the Nashville Chronicle, "then get ready for the next game."
