Round 1 Game 1 Victory for Buchanan and New Orleans
|
The New Orleans Voodoo moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the visiting Nashville Outlaws at The Voodoo Lounge by a score of 6-3. Voodoo right-hander David Buchanan was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball. The win gives the Voodoo a - advantage in the best-of- Round 1.
In his 94-pitch effort, Buchanan allowed 1 earned run on 4 hits over 7.1 innings. He walked 3 and struck out 9.
"We're happy," Buchanan told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."
