Silver League Championship Game 1 Victory for Fitzgerald and Nashville
|
The Nashville Outlaws are one game away from a sweep after a 9-3 win over the visiting Kingston Township Knights at Nashville Stadium today. Outlaws left-hander Craig Fitzgerald was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball. Nashville now holds a - advantage in the best-of- Silver League Championship.
In the bottom of the third, Nashville right fielder Bartolo Soto had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out, Soto stroked a 2-run double to left. It made the score 2-0, Nashville. For the game, he was 1-5 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"It feels a lot better to be tied than to be behind, even if it is only one game," Nashville manager Ryan Naylor said.
