Pivotal Game Goes to Host Outlaws, 9-3
|
The Nashville Outlaws moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the visiting Hollywood Shredders at Nashville Stadium by a score of 9-3. Outlaws right fielder Bartolo Soto was named player of the game after he was 4-5 with 3 doubles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. The win gives the Outlaws a - advantage in the best-of- Silver League Championship.
Mario Ramos, who is tied for 8th in the SL in home runs with 13, aided the Nashville cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the first baseman drew 1 walk.
"We're not going to sweep 'em," Soto said in response to a question after the game. "Hollywood is too good not to take a game somewhere."
