Almost There: New Orleans On Cusp of R1 Triumph After 4-3 Win

Despite a great performance by Buckhead starter Ron Manning, the New Orleans Voodoo defeated the Bowties by the score of 4-3 at 5 Paces Park today. Manning threw 5 innings of shutout ball to earn player of the game honors, but could not prevent the Voodoo from moving one game closer to the Round 2. New Orleans now leads the Round 1 - .
Sergio Vásquez aided the New Orleans cause with a 2-run single in the top of the seventh. For the game, the pinch hitter was 1-1. He drove in 2 runs.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Buckhead manager Kerry Hofmeister.
