Gaoteote, San Mateo Start Third League Championship Strong with Home Win
San Mateo designated hitter Palaie Gaoteote was the key at Lang Park today, being named player of the game as he powered the Dirty Reds to victory in a critical Game of the Third League Championship. The Dirty Reds took the 6-5 win over the Kingston Township Knights to seize a - lead in the best-of- series.

Gaoteote turned the game around in the bottom of the eighth. That's when the San Mateo designated hitter dialed up a 3-run home run. Just like that, San Mateo's 5-3 deficit turned into a 6-5 lead.

"It's a huge change in atmosphere versus last game," Gaoteote said after the win. "I feel like we're back in the mix now. We just can't let up."
