In leading Northern Virginia to a crucial 3-2 victory over the Montana Pandas at Atlantica today, the Northern Virginia starter rose to the occasion, tossing 5 good innings and earning player of the game honors. Pao Pao threw 5 innings allowing 2 runs as the Rainbow Mermaids defended their home field to seize a - lead in the best-of- Silver League Championship.

Luis Yander La O aided the Northern Virginia cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop went 1 for 2.

"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Yander La O. "I just want to win ballgames."
