Almost There: Ft. Worth On Cusp of R1 Triumph After 3-0 Win
In a pivotal Game , the Ft. Worth Cattlemen were hoping for a big game from starter Robbie Betchley. They got one.

The right-hander shut out the Portland Evergreens, proving to be the difference-maker as he led his club to a 3-0 victory. The Cattlemen took the 3-0 win over the Portland Evergreens to seize a - lead in the best-of- series.

Ft. Worth used the bat of Sergio Ortíz to get the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Cattlemen ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"Robbie did a tremendous job," said Ft. Worth manager Scott Thompson.
