Third League Championship Game 1 goes to Buffalo Thanks to Gerald
Game was big. So was Gerald Orlebar.

In leading Buffalo to a crucial 5-2 victory over the Las Vegas Flamingos at Beyond the Wall today, the Buffalo starter rose to the occasion, tossing 8 good innings and earning player of the game honors. Orlebar threw 8 innings of 7-hit ball as the White Walkers defended their home field to seize a - lead in the best-of- Third League Championship.

San Miguelito, Panama-born Jesús Lazcano came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the second, with the bases loaded and the White Walkers trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run double to center to put Buffalo on top.

"Gerald was throwing strikes, locating well," said Buffalo manager Chris Lau.
